About the trail
Angels Landing is one of the most famous hikes in the American Southwest. From the Grotto Trailhead, the West Rim Trail climbs steadily through Refrigerator Canyon and the punishing 21 switchbacks of Walter's Wiggles before reaching Scout Lookout. The final half-mile follows a knife-edge ridge with bolted chains and sheer drops on both sides. The summit reward is an unobstructed view down Zion Canyon and across to the Great White Throne.
