About the trail
Mount Tammany rises 1,527 feet directly above the Delaware River, forming the eastern wall of the Delaware Water Gap. The Red Dot Trail climbs steeply over rocky terrain to a wide-open ledge with sweeping views of the Gap, Mount Minsi across the river in Pennsylvania, and the Kittatinny Ridge stretching north. Descend via the gentler Blue Dot Trail for a satisfying loop.
