About the trail
Cascade Canyon starts with a boat shuttle across Jenny Lake, then climbs past Hidden Falls and Inspiration Point into one of the most dramatic canyons in the Tetons. Moose, marmots, and black bears are common. Turn around at the Forks of Cascade Canyon for a 9-mile day, or continue to Lake Solitude (18 miles) for a serious objective.

Turn-by-turn route
- Park at the Jenny Lake Visitor Center.
- Take the Jenny Lake boat shuttle across the lake ($20 round trip).
- Climb to Hidden Falls (0.5 miles).
- Continue to Inspiration Point (1 mile).
- Follow Cascade Canyon to the Forks (4.5 miles in).

Jenny Lake Visitor Center lot. South Jenny Lake also has overflow.
Tips from the trail
- The boat shuttle saves 2.4 miles each way; first boat at 7 AM.
- Carry bear spray — moose and bears regularly use this canyon.
- Inspiration Point is crowded; the trail past it is gloriously empty.
